LUNCHEON MEETING

 

 

Our Monthly Luncheons are held on the first Thursday of each month. Information about this month's Luncheon and Program are detailed below.

 

MEMBERS must make their reservation by noon Wednesday, February 28th, per our usual procedure as outlined in the monthly newsletter.

 

NON-MEMBERS must make their reservation by noon on Friday, February 23rd, and a pre-paid reservation is required to guarantee seating. If you would like to attend, please contact our Reservations Chairperson at mrdor60@welcomeclubnvirginia.com.

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER REMINDER

 

The Club will follow the Fairfax County or Loudoun County school closure guidelines (depending on the location of the Luncheon) in the event of snow or inclement weather. Should the schools completely close, Welcome Club will not meet in person, but by ZOOM and all members will be sent a ZOOM link. In the instance of a two hour delay, Welcome Club will convene at the usual time.

 

 

Please join us for our March program presented by Fairfax County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteers.

 

CERT is a critical volunteer program to engage citizens in making their communities safer, more prepared, and more resilient when incidents occur. It is a partnership between the Federal and Fairfax County Governments and is managed by the Fire and Rescue Department. It prepares people to help themselves, their families and communities in case of a major disaster when first responders are delayed. It is a positive approach to emergency situations where citizen action can make a difference.

 

These topics and more about life-saving CPR, Stop the Bleed, and Personal & Family Preparedness will be presented by Mr. Sobecke. He will be joined by Kim Sopko, Community Engagement Deputy.

MENU

 

Starter:  Traditional house salad with ranch dressing and balsamic vinaigrette on the side.

 

Entree:  (choice of one)

     

       1)  Beef Carbonade: beer-braised prime beef with caramelized onions in a brown ale au jus.   

            Served with roasted potatoes and roasted vegetable medley.

 

       OR

 

        2)  Pasta Primavera with Vodka sauce. Fresh market vegetables and classic Vodka tomato sauce.

 

Dessert:  Chocolate torte.

 

Beverages: Coffee, tea and iced tea.
