LUNCHEON MEETING

 

 

Our Monthly Luncheons are held on the first Thursday of each month. Information about this month's Luncheon and Program are detailed below.

 

MEMBERS must make their reservation by noon Friday, November 25th, per our usual procedure as outlined in the monthly newsletter. 

 

NON-MEMBERS must make their reservation by noon on Tuesday, November 22nd, and a pre-paid reservation is required to guarantee seating. If you would like to attend, please contact our Reservations Chairperson at mary@welcomeclubnvirginia.com.

 

All venues are within Fairfax County and Loudoun County, the exact location will be provided once the reservation has been confirmed.  

 

PROGRAM

Festive Music for the Holidays

 

Join your Welcome Club friends for a lovely holiday program of Christmas classics and Broadway favorites, featuring Laura Mills, Jonathan Mills, and Justin Streletz who are musicians based in the Washington D.C. area. 

 

Laura Mills is a musician and writer in Northern Virginia. She has performed in a variety of venues including the Ryman Auditorium, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Spanish Ballroom in Glen Echo, and the Merchant Hall at the Hyllton Performing Arts Center. She currently performs with the Silver Tones Swing Band. She will be performing in the upcoming Stagecoach Productions of "Motown Cabaret" in February of 2023.

 

Jonathan Mills is a musician and business consultant in Northern Virginia. He has played percussion for Uncle Drew and The Scoundrels, Chapel Springs, and Blue Ridge Community Church.

 

Justin Streletz is a local musical director, collaborative pianist, church musician, and elementary music teacher. Upcoming projects include pit conducting "Matilda," playing piano in "Kiss Me Kate," and music directing "Legally Blonde."

Registration & Social Time:  11:00 a.m.

 

Program:  11:30 a.m.

 

Luncheon:  12:15 p.m.

 

Business Meeting:  1:00 p.m.

 

MENU

 

Starter:  Baby Green Salad, Candied Walnuts, Goat Cheese, Dried Cranberries with

               Champagne Vinaigrette

 

Entree:  (choice of one)

 

     1. Petite Filet Mignon: served with light demi glaze, garlic mashed potatoes and

         grilled broccolini

 

        OR

 

     2. Grilled Atlantic Salmon served with lemon beurre blanc, garlic mashed potatoes

         and grilled broccolini

 

Dessert:  Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cake

 

Beverages:  Coffee, hot tea and iced tea. Wine will be available for purchase at $10.00 a glass.

 

Cost:  $40.00  (Checks only please made out to WCNV.)
